Ingredients

Round Challah for Rosh Hashanah
2 packages (1/4 ounce each) active dry yeast
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1-1/2 cups warm water (110° to 115°), divided
5 hua nui
2/3 cup plus 1 teaspoon honey, divided
1/2 cup canola oil
2 teaspoons salt
6-7 cups bread flour
1 cup boiling water (raisins will soak in this water)
1/2-1 cup golden raisins (ponoʻole)
1 tablespoon water
1 punetune hua sesame (ponoʻole)

Apple Honey Muffins
1-1/2 ipu kīʻaha palaoa holoʻokoʻa
1/2 kīʻaha kō
1-3/4 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 ka paʻakai kō
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg (ponoʻole)
1 huamoa (can substitute 1TB ground flaxseed with 3 TB water. Allow to sit for 5-10 mins before adding to mixture)
1/2 cup plant based or dairy milk
3 tablespoons canola oil
3 tablespoons unsweetened applesauce
1 medium McIntosh apple, peeled and grated

Topping
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1-2 tablespoons oil
1/2 cup quick-cooking oats

Cinnamon-Honey Butter
1/2 cup vegan butter or butter, softened
1/4 cup honey
