Here at the Y, we place a strong emphasis on environmental stewardship. Environmental education is available to our pre-K, Be Me, and Senior programs. Participants develop a strong appreciation for nature, food growing, and food justice. We taste what we grow and donate fresh, healthy greens to our seniors and the greater community. Participants learn urban gardening methods in our beautiful rooftop garden and hydroponic room. We also create garden crafts and gifts, including essential oils, soaps, candles, and more! Children will expand their palates and appreciate all they grow, from seed to seed.
