Nursery School
The Y’s preschool is dedicated to providing children ages 2 to 5 with a learning environment that is warm, nurturing, and supportive, while incorporating caring humanitarian values.
Our curriculum emerges organically from your child’s interests, ideas, and experiences. When you visit our preschool classrooms, you see our children busy at work, exploring topics of interest through interaction with a variety of materials and through collaboration with other children and adults.
Children are empowered to ask their own questions, conduct their own investigations, and make decisions regarding their daily activities. Through play, our children are able to experience self-motivated learning that increases their desire to dig deeper, ask more questions, conduct more research, and to develop important cognitive skills. Above all, we are an inclusive community committed to maximizing the potential and participation of all types of learners in our classrooms.
Please note the following:
- Program admission is based on availability. A one-time intake may be conducted by YNS staff.
- Children are admitted on a rolling basis. Once the program is fully enrolled, a wait list will be generated.
- The Y’s approved Health Care Plan designates our nursery school as a program that cares for well children. As such, we do not have a nurse on site to administer medication.
- Rates are as follow:
- Full day (8:30-2:50), $19,700 (Member Rate), $19,900 (Non-Member Rate)
- Extended Day (8:30-6:00), $26,000 (Member Rate), $26,300 (Non-Member Rate)
- Sibling discount: A 5% discount will apply for siblings enrolled in multiple Y programs during the same season.

“We are so eternally grateful for having stumbled upon the Y for both my boys’ Pre-K years. The experience has been incredibly rewarding for my entire family. My son has grown in so many ways and so much of it is due to the TLC of your wonderful staff. THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts. We will always remember the Y with love and a full heart of joy.”
