Introducing Table for You! with PJ Library

Washington Heights and Inwood families raising Jewish children now have more opportunities to participate in Jewish life, thanks to a grant recently awarded to the Y by PJ Library, a flagship program of the Harold Grinspoon Foundation that provides free books to families raising Jewish children all over the world.

The Y received funding forTable for You! All Welcome as We Gather around Food and Friendship,” a year-long program of special events designed for families with babies, toddlers, and preschool-age children. The majority of the eight events will be free and feature food and activities related to Jewish holidays. Programs will include plenty ofschmooze timefor families to socialize and get to know each other, as we build community and connections with Jewish life.

Der 16 winning grant proposals were chosen through a competitive process open to organizations implementing PJ Library across the New York Metro area (Five Boroughs, Long Island, and Westchester). The winning initiatives are designed to provide innovative programs that find and engage families who are new to the organization and connect families to compelling and high-quality Jewish experiences in New York.

The firstTable for You!” event celebrates the harvest festival of Sukkot with a Fall Festival on the Farm, Jüdischer Latinx-Jugendrat, September 23 von 11 am to 1 pm at the Dyckman Farmhouse Museum in Inwood.
