- 3 vikombe vya unga wa ngano (unaweza pia kutumia unga wa matumizi yote)
- ¼ kikombe asali (ukitaka kutumia sukari: ongeza ¼ kikombe cha sukari, na kutumia 1 kikombe cha maji, sio ¾)

Pumpkin Spice Challah

- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- 1/3 mafuta ya kikombe

- 1 egg for brushing on loaves

Egg-Free (Vegan) Challah
VIUNGO
- 2 1/2 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm water
- 4 – 4 1/4 vikombe unga (approximately)
- 1/3 kikombe sukari
- 1 kijiko chumvi
- 2 vijiko vya mafuta
Egg replacement:
- 3 vijiko vya mafuta
- 3 tablespoons warm water
- 2 teaspoons baking powder.

The egg replacement works as a binding agent. The “fizzing” that occurs when whisked together provides the “lift” to the finished product. Make sure you add this right before the flour.

Honey Cake
VIUNGO

- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 2 mayai makubwa (or substitute 1/2 cup applesauce)

- 1/3 cup canola oil
- 1/2 cup coffee (add 1tsp coffee to 1/2 kikombe cha maji)

- 1 pakiti chachu kavu kavu
