As the Director of Elementary Afterschool Programs, Emma runs the Be Me Afterschool Program where she plans and creates enrichment programming and value-based learning for children in Kindergarten through 5th Grade, and oversees the Literacy Program promoting the love of reading and writing to families and individuals in our community.
Emma comes to the Y with a variety of experience working with Early Childhood and Elementary-aged children. She joined the Y as a staff member at camp in August 2013 and has returned year after year currently serving as Division Head for the Trailblazers. Previously, Emma worked as a 1st grade teacher at East Harlem Tutorial Program and coached high school basketball at Bard High School Early College.
Emma holds a BS in Early Childhood Education from Boston University. When she’s not working, Emma enjoys playing basketball and considers herself a bookworm.
