Juan Mena a grandi à Washington Heights, où il a fréquenté l'école secondaire Park West. Autrefois, Juan worked at a Golf Country Club and as a manager at a Parking Garage Company. He came to the Y in 2010 and currently works as the Building Assistant Superintendent. His hobbies are playing softball and lifting weights.
