Juan Mena je odraščal v Washington Heightsu, kjer je obiskoval srednjo šolo Park West. V preteklosti, Juan worked at a Golf Country Club and as a manager at a Parking Garage Company. He came to the Y in 2010 and currently works as the Building Assistant Superintendent. His hobbies are playing softball and lifting weights.
