With his expanded responsibilities, he helped build a strong SYEP Younger Youth program.
Ua fanauhia e ua paari i Washington Heights, Phoenix grew from being a student athlete as a child and teen, to guiding and molding student athletes as a young adult. Before the Y, Phoenix was an Athletics Coordinator at the Boys & Girls Club of Albany and received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration & Communications from the University at Albany. Phoenix started at the Y in 2017 as a Group Leader at the after school program at Harbor Heights, where he handled all the gym activities. Since then, he’s worked with seven different Y programs, giving him the opportunity to work with youth of many ages.
In his down time, Phoenix likes to work out, play sports, watch his favorite teams (New York Yankees, Jets, and Knicks), and eat different types of food.
