An “Innovative Senior Center” (ISC) funded by the New York City Department for the Aging (NYC DFTA), the Center for Adults Living Well @ the Y (CALW) is Northern Manhattan’s place for adults 60 and better to enjoy social engagement, meals, and dining, while accessing benefits and entitlements assistance.

CALW’s wide range of cultural, arts, education, technology, recreation, and health and wellness classes and events are renowned for their excellent programming and expert staff. We’re proud that our multilingual programs connect with our community in their home languages.

Operating under New York City Department for the Aging (NYC DFTA) guidelines, the Center for Adults Living Well @ the Y’s (CALW) Department of Social Services helps clients access vital government benefits and entitlements, and provides information and referrals to a range of concrete and mental health services and resources for more in-depth assistance. Our multilingual, specially-trained team work individually with clients, offering compassionate encouragement and support while maintaining client privacy and confidentiality.
