Happy Thanksgiving

Even during challenging times, there are reasons to give thanks, as we choose to acknowledge what is going well and to appreciate the people who make a difference in our lives and in our communities.

While 2020 will be a year to remember for social distancing, masks, missing family and friends, and public service announcements encouraging people to wash their hands, it also will be a year the Y remembers unprecedented generosity and the outpouring of care for our neighbors. We will forever be grateful for our community, program members, donors, and funders who went above and beyond to help those in need.

When we take inventory of all the amazing things we accomplished this year, despite the hardships, it makes us truly value what is most important: Caring for one another. We want to take this opportunity to express our sincere appreciation for the support you have shown the Y and our neighbors throughout the years — and especially this year.

Our community continues to face challenging times. Fortunately for the residents of Washington Heights and Inwood, the Y is here to continue to provide the critical support needed by our neighbors. We are honored and thankful to be able to continue to care for our community.

We wish you a happy, healthy, and safe Thanksgiving!
